Ingredients:
  2 lbs cleaned and rinsed white tepary beans
  2 tsp oregano
  3 cloves garlic minced
  2 bay leaves (rempve when done)
  2 tsp crushed red pepper
  1 tsp black pepper
  1 tsp cumin
  1 tbs salt
  Optional Ingredients:
  1/2 lb cooked and crumbled bacon – add just before serving.
  1/2 cup carrots diced – add 1/2 hour before beans are done.
  1/2 cup celery chopped – add 1/2 hour before beans are done.
  1/4 cup onion minced – add 1/2 hour before beans are done.
Directions:
- Put all ingredients in a crockpot, add 4 quarts of water and 2 quarts of chicken, beef or vegetable stock.
 - Cook 10 hours or until beans are soft.
